Our meeting place was at Madeleine's Church, which, in fact, wasn't always a church. It was first intended to be a temple for the Napoleon's army for their 1st glory (back in the 1800s), then it was a railway station in 1837, and finally, in 1845, it was established as a church dedicated to Mary Magdelene.
O nosso ponto de encontro foi na Igreja de Madeleine, que, por acaso, nem sempre foi uma igreja. Foi, primeiramente, construída com a intenção de se tornar um templo para o exército de Napoleão pela sua 1ª vitória (no século XVIII), mas, com a queda do seu reinado, tornou-se numa estação de comboios, em 1837, e, por fim, numa igreja dedicada a Maria Madalena em 1845.
From the entrance, the view is quite extraordinaire, one can see all the way down to La Concorde.
