The other day, as I was scrolling down through Facebook (as usual), I found that Benefit Boutique here in Lisbon (one of the three that exists in Europe, the other two are in Madrid and Paris) was having a makeup workshop! As I have never been to one of these, I booked it right away.
This boutique in downtown Lisbon, Chiado, is really the face of the brand. Everything is girly pink, cute and cheerful. And that sets immediately your mood to a happy one.
In this 3 hour makeup and talk workshop, we got to know a good amount of Benefit's products and how to use them. In the end, we were given a 20% discount on any of their kits and I brought home the Benefit essentials kit: Life of the Party!

Neste workshop de 3 horas em que nos maquilhávamos e falávamos, pudemos conhecer muitos dos produtos da Benefit e como os usar. No final, fomos oferecidas um desconto de 20% em qualquer dos kits de maquilhagem e trouxe para casa um kit de essenciais da Benefit: o Life of the Party!

Now, I know that many of you are not willing to buy a €27 beauty kit, or willing to buy the individual products which are more pricey than this 5 product-kit (and I can join you in this battle, because if there haven't been this workshop I wouldn't have bought this kit, but as it was included, I had to bring it home with me).
So I rounded up three dupes (meaning, cheaper alternatives with equal quality) to show you that you can be pretty with any product, being expensive or not.
Sei que muitas de vocês não estão dispostas a gastar €27 num kit de maquilhagem, ou nos produtos individuais que podem ultrapassar o preço anterior (e eu sou assim também, se não tivesse feito o tal workshop, acho que não compraria o kit, mas como estava incluindo, veio comigo para casa).
Portanto, juntei 3 produtos idênticos, mas mais acessíveis (os chamados de dupes) para vos mostrar que podem ficar bonitas com qualquer produto, sendo mais caro ou mais barato.
The first one to substitute is Benetint ($30), which can be either a liquid blush and/or a liquid lip gloss. The way to use it is to simply brush it lightly over your cheeks or lips and stain it with your fingers. The blush alternative I present you is the Essence's silky touch blush (€2,99) in the shade 70 kissable. I find it quite pigmented and it gives you that healthy and natural looking blush.
O primeiro a substituir é o Benetint (€30), que pode ser usado como blush ou batom. A forma de o aplicar é de passar levemente com o pincel próprio nas bochechas e nos lábios e, de seguida, esbater com os dedos. O alternativo para este blush que vos quero apresentar é o silky touch blush da Essence (€2,99) no tom 70 kissable. Tem um bom pigmento e dá aquele ar saudável e natural às faces.
For this pore minimizing and oil free primer, the POREfessional (mini - $12; full size - $31), I bring you the go-to primer from Sephora (€11). It doesn't minimizes the pores, but it has the same velvety texture and matte finish that makes the makeup stay put for a long time too, creating that fine 'barrier' between your makeup and face.
Para este primário que diminuiu a aparição de poros e é livre de óleos, o POREfessional (mini - $12; full size - $31), eu trago-vos o primário da Sephora (€11). Não minimiza os poros, mas tem a mesma textura aveludada e acabamento baço criando a tal barreira entre a maquilhagem e a pele.
Lastly, for the They're real! mascara ($24) which lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts and separates the lashes, my alternative is Maybelline's Lash Sensational (€12) which lifts, enhances and also volumizes the lashes. Both promise to give a very natural look and I can confirm it!
E por último, para a máscara They're real! ($24) que alonga, encaracolada, dá volume, levanta e separa as pestanas, a minha alternativa é o Lash Sensational da Maybelline (€12) que levanta, realça e dá também volume às pestanas. As duas prometem um ar natural e eu confiro!
These were the products we tested on the workshop. I must say that I've got a BIG CRUSH on that blue mascara and on the high brow! These were products I've never thought of using, but, looking at the end result, I could see a big difference. They were, indeed, a WOW factor.
Estes foram os produtos que testámos no workshop. Tenho a dizer que fiquei enamoradíssima da máscara azul e o high brow! São produtos que nunca pensei em usar, mas que no final fizeram uma grande diferença no look. Foram, de facto, o factor WOW.
