Mega Beauty Haul

One thing I love about being a girly girl is the fact that I get to buy new make-up. It's unbelievable how excited I get whenever I open the little bag and try it for the first time. But, as any beauty addict, it's known how much we can spend on these little treats. So I wanted to write a post with all my recent affordable purchases in a store here in Madrid, Primor, where the prices of some products were half-priced, and as well in other equally accessible stores. Here's my detailed list:

Uma das coisas que mais adoro sobre o facto de ser uma girly girl é comprar nova maquilhagem. É incrível o quão feliz eu fico quando a tiro dos saquinhos e experimento pela primeira vez. Mas, como qualquer beauty addict, sabemos o quanto se gasta em pequenos miminhos como estes. Daí querer ter feito um post com as minhas recentes compras pouco dispendiosas numa loja aqui em Madrid, a Primor, em que muitos dos produtos estavam a metade do preço, e noutras igualmente acessíveis. Aqui está a minha lista detalhada:

At PRIMOR, I found this little sculpting palette in a LIGHT tone from Maybelline. It was really affordable, about €7, and it was something I was looking for ages for being that one product which elevates the whole look. There's another tone - dark - which, although I'm brunette, was too dark, even for me, making me choose the lighter and more natural tone, providing the same sculpting effect.

Na tal loja PRIMOR, encontrei esta pequena palette de bronzeador e iluminador no tom LIGHT da Maybelline. Foi super acessível, uns €7, e um produto que andava à procura há séculos por ser algo que eleva o look total. Há mais outro tom - dark - que, apesar de eu ser morena, ficava-me muito escuro na cara, daí ter escolhido este por ter um tom mais natural, fazendo à mesma o efeito de esculpir e iluminar.

Despite having always used BB creams, I didn't want to that radical change yet to liquid foundation. I like the concept of hydration and color that those creams provide, so when I found this intermediate between foundation and BB cream for a €3,90 I was thrilled! It's the Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation (neutral 30) from Kiko. Really creamy, light and with great coverage. The nicest deal!

Apesar de ter sempre usado BB creams, não quis ainda fazer a mudança radical para bases líquidas. Gosto do conceito de hidratação e cor destes cremes, por isso, quando encontrei o intermediário entre a base e o BB cream a a €3,90 fiquei super entusiasmada. É a Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation (neutral 30) da Kiko. Muito cremosa, leve e com uma cobertura fantástica. Uma oferta excelente!

To apply the foundation and bronzer/highlighting, I had to get, obviously, some brushes. The problem... they are so expensive! The cheapest ones I had seen were at Kiko at €12, but then at Inglot they were €17. So, I had to resort to the non-specialised makeup stores, but in low priced ones. The one with the fluffier ends (sorry for not being so technical) costed €1,50 in Primark. One side is perfect for the transparent powder we put on to mattify the skin, and the other, the angled end, is great to apply the said bronzer/highlighter and also blush. The one with flatter and smaller tips was thought to apply foundation and concealer. It was only €3,99 in Primor and does the same job as any other more expensive one.

Para aplicar a base e o bronzeador/iluminador, tinha de arranjar, claro, uns pincéis. O problema... é que são caríssimos! Os mais baratos que tinha visto foram na Kiko a €12, mas depois na Inglot já eram a €17. Tive, então, de recorrer a lojas não especializadas em maquilhagem, mas sim em preços baixos. O duas pontas mais fofas (desculpem não ser tão técnica) custou €1,50 na Primark. Um dos lados é perfeito para o pó translúcido para matificar a pele e o outro, o de ângulo, é óptimo para aplicar o tal bronzeador/iluminador e também o blush. O de pontas mais achatas e pequenas foi pensado para aplicar a base e o corrector. Este custou €3,99 na Primor e faz o mesmo efeito do que qualquer outro mais caro.

 

For the eyes, and having the New Year's Eve on mind, my attention was directed to the gold. The little box on the right was a great promotion at Kiko. It was only €2,60 and it was already the last one in stock. The one on the left, Maybellines's Color Tattoo 24hr, costed €7,40, but it's really pigmented and of good quality.

Para os olhos, e a pensar especialmente na noite do Ano Novo, a minha atenção virou directamente para o dourado. A caixinha à direita foi uma promoção óptima na Kiko. Custou apenas €2,60 e era já o último em stock. O da esquerda, o Color Tattoo 24hr da Maybelline, foi €7,40, mas é super pigmentado e de boa qualidade.

This eye shadow is already an old purchase, but I just couldn't leave it out of this post as it goes in the same line as the gold one. This in glittery silver and black is from the Maybelline's StudioEye collection (I guess you can tell by now that Maybelline is my favorite make up brand, can't you?). Also very pigmented and perfect for a more nocturnal make up.

Esta sombra de olhos já é antiga, mas não pude deixar de pôr aqui por ser na mesma linha do dourado. Este em tons prateados brilhantes e um preto é da colecção StudioEye da Maybelline (já se percebeu que esta é a minha marca de maquilhagem preferida, não já?). Também muito pigmentado e perfeito para uma maquilhagem mais noctívaga.

Regarding the mascara department, I bought two different ones: the purple one - Effect False Lashes -, my all-time favorite (as I've mentioned before in this post), which creates these huge gorgeous lashes; as the other - Lash Sensational - creating a more natural effect. The two of them with half the price of any Portuguese drug store, instead of €12, they were €6!

Em relação às máscaras/rímel, comprei dois diferentes: o roxo - Efeito Pestanas Falsas -, o meu preferido de sempre (como já tinha mencionado neste post), que faz um pestanão lindo; e o outro - Lash Sensational - que faz um efeito mais natural. Os dois a metade do preço do que no Continente, em vez de €12, custaram €6!

Baby Lips. A known obsession of mine that, in the new balm plus blush format, came home with me, obviously. It's only sold here in Madrid, for now, in three tones: red, peachy and pink. And its price is €3,99.

Baby Lips. Uma conhecida obsessão minha que, no novo formato de bálsamo mais blush, veio comigo para casa, obviamente. Existe, por enquanto só aqui em Madrid, em três tons: encarnado, coral e rosa. E o preço é de €3,99.

And to complete the look, it's only missing a lipstick. And as one is never enough, I got three different ones. The two with the golden package are from H&M (€9,99). The lipstick on the left is La Vie En Rose, not only I bought for being the cutest pink I didn't own, it's also one of my favorite songs from Edith Piaf. The one in the middle is in the shade of Cream Chestnut with a nuder effect. On the right, there's this matte coral hue from Inglot. I got it for €8,85 instead of €11, with the store's 25% discount. yay!

E para completar o look, falta apenas um batom. E como um batom nunca é suficiente, arranjei três diferentes. Os de embalagem dourada são da H&M (€9,99). O da esquerda é o La Vie En Rose, não só comprei por ser um rosinha que ainda não tinha, mas por ser uma das minha canções preferidas da Edith Piaf. O do meio é no tom Cream Chestnut com um efeito mais para o nude. O da direito é da Inglot, um tom coral matte. Consegui por €8,85 em vez de €11, com o desconto de 25% da loja. yay!
