moi: Get the look: Emitaz

Ah, ícones de estilo. Quem não tem? Marilyn Monroe, Chiara Ferragni ou até mesmo a Michelle Obama. Admirar e inspirar-se no estilo de pessoas famosas (com incríveis estilistas) pode ser desafiante, no entanto sempre entusiasmante. Desafiante por ser difícil encontrar uma peça que talvez custe uma fortuna ou que não exista no mercado, e entusiasmante porque quando se consegue atingir aquele look quase igual, sentimo-nos uma estrela.

Uma influencer que tem sido, definitivamente, o meu ícone de estilo e de personalidade é a blogger Emitaz. Sinto que me relacionei bastante com ela primeiramente pelo facto dela ser morena. Muitas bloggers e influencers deste mundo digital tendem a ser aquela bonequinha loira e branquinha. Claro que existem excepções de modelos negras, mas há poucas no meio.

[EN]: Ah, fashion icons. Who doesn't have one? Marilyn Monroe, Chiara Ferragni or even ou Michelle Obama. To admire and to inspire oneself on the style of famous people (with amazing stylists) can be challenging yet exciting. Challenging for the difficulty it can be to find a rare item that might cost a fortune or that simply isn't for sale, yet exciting for when you do get the look accurate, you can feel like a true star.

An influencer that has truly been my fashion and personality icon is the blogger Emitaz. My connection with her started, weirdly, because of her skin tone. Many bloggers and influencers these days tend to be that perfect little blonde caucasian doll. Of course, there are exceptions, there are gorgeous black models too, but there are few in between.

A Emitaz, de nome verdadeiro Emelie Natascha, é sueca, mas tem uma costela da Sri-Lanka, da parte materna. Daí ter esta cor mais exótica.

Além da semelhança do tom de pele, adoro a personalidade animada e despreocupada dela — e essa comprova-se bastante nos seus vlogs. Não parece ser uma pessoa que ligue muito a pressões sociais nem a dramas. É alguém que adora a vida e quer abraçar cada oportunidade que lhe aparece no seu caminho.

Em termos do estilo dela — e o que interessa para este post —, diria que é arrojado, mas simples. Tanto que ela pode estar com umas calças de ganga de cintura subida e uma t-shirt vintage e parecer fabulosamente inocente, como pode estar a usar uma camisola oversized, com uma saia em vinil e umas biker boots e parecer a mais bad ass de todas.

Foi este último look que tentei recriar. O que acham?

Emitaz, whose real name is Emelie Natascha, is half Swedish and half from Sri-Lanka, on her mother's side. Hence her exotic skin tone.

Besides our skin tone similarity, I really love her bubbly and carefree personality — and that can be seen on her vlogs. She doesn't come across as a person who cares for social pressure nor drama. She's someone who loves life and enjoys every opportunity that comes by in her life.

As per her style — and what truly matters for the sake of this post —, I would say it a bold yet simple style. She can either be wearing some high rise denim with a vintage old tee and look fabulously innocent, or wear an oversized sweater, with a vinyl skirt and some biker boots and look like the baddest ass of them all.
