Summer Market Stylista - the recap

I love this type of initiatives, where someone gathers a lot of Portuguese entrepreneurs and exhibits their work that they publicize online.

Stylista (check her blog here) was that person and made it all happen with this summer edition here in Estoril, inside Fiartil's area (where Feira do Artesanato open from the of June to September 1st and provides a fun time in the evening to everyone who wants to come and enjoy a traditional Portuguese meal with live music concerts and handcraft stores).

Todos os verões queremos sempre um biquíni ou fato-de-banho novo. E eu não sou excepção. Só que com esta procura tão grande, sinto que há uma certa inflação de preços por parte destas lojas online com produtos super diferentes. O que vale é que no meio disto tudo há lojas como a TRICIRCULO que praticam preços razoáveis e produtos à mesma super diferentes.

As you might know, or not, this juice has been blogged already (here), but the last time I've tried it I found it dull... that's why I wanted to revamp it and bring you the new and improved version!

Overnight Oats

So this past two months' breakfasts have been ALL about granola. I loved it and ate it so much that now I need to move on to my next breakfast obsession. Not sure if this is going to be it, but I must give a try...

Oats. Less calories, less sugar, less fun. But I want to make it fun anyhow. And how? By adding all sorts of goodies*. But first, for them not to taste like dry paper, I must cook them... but in the morning, between fooling myself in bed that just 5 more minutes will be enough to make me get up and spending 30 minutes looking at my closet and crying for some new clothes, I have zero time to cook me some healthy breakfast. That's why they invented the overnight oats! Hail to them.

Lost In

LX Factory | Sunday Marketday

If you haven't been at this local flea market, you're missing it out! Under the 25th of April bridge (Calvário, Alcântara), at Lisbon's old fabric factory, now all recovered with amazing artwork, every Sunday (from 12pm to 7pm), there's a type of flea market, with 2nd hand clothing items, or new ones, decor items, books and food delicacies! Not only you can buy/sell your old clothes there, but there are lots of online shops who have their own unique items and showcase them at this market. 

It's a fun program to do, to visit this historic fabric and to get something by a bargain.

Se ainda não foste a este mercado de roupas na LX Factory, estás a perder! Debaixo da ponte 25 de Abril (Calvário, Alcântara), na antiga fábrica de tecidos em Lisboa, agora toda recuperada com pinturas artísticas por todos os recantos, há, todos os domingos (12h-19h), um mercado de peças de roupa em 2a mão, roupa nova, decoração, livros e iguarias alimentícias! Podes comprar ou vender as tuas coisas e ainda encontrar lá lojas online que mostram as suas peças únicas em modo não virtual.

É programa giro para se fazer no domingo e ficar a conhecer este espaço agora tão icónico e ainda comprar algo a um preço acessível.

Not only there is this Sunday market, but the factory is also open all week with all kinds of restaurants, clothing and decor shops worth visiting!

Não só há este mercado ao Domingo, mas a fábrica está também aberta toda a semana com todo o tipo de restaurantes e loja de roupas únicas e peças de decoração que valem a pena visitar!

Guess what? This season's trend is also a blast from the past... DENIM! And how to pair it, you might ask, well with more denim! You'll find that it will never be enough, either you want a top to denim, and your jeans of course, but also your underwear! (you never know), it is quite the mania! So to truly get deep into this trend, I picked up some awesome flats and heels from Zara and even the cutest bags also in blue.

Rico Montadito

"Mini sandes deliciosas a €1? Eu quero! Com uma centena de variedades de montaditos, este é o sítio por excelência onde se paga pouquíssimo e se come lindamente. 

Hoje, 4a e também ao domingo, todas as sandes estavam a €1 (o preço normal não é muito mais do que isso), mas por €4 pedi duas sandes, mais uma imperial e ainda uma sandes sobremesa. 

É daqueles sítios que enche e que faz fila até ao virar da esquina, mas que compensa muitíssimo a espera. É um ambiente jovem, descontraído. É self-service, enquanto se está na fila pode-se ir já escolhendo ou se tiver uma mesa também, e após a escolha é só fazer o pedido e o pagamento ao balcão. Assim que estiver feito, 10 minutos no máximo, o seu nome é chamado ao microfone! Há algum movimento entre os clientes ao se terem de levantar e irem buscar os pedidos, e por vezes é um pouco incómodo levarmos com as pessoas a passar ao nosso lado sistematicamente, mas é o sistema dos montaditos e funciona.

Pedimos 2 sandes cada, para raparigas chega e basta, uma com queijo fresco, tomate e pesto e outra com presunto e pesto e estavam mesmo muito boas. Pão quentinho e ingredientes muito frescos. No final quisemos provar um montadito doce, com pão de chocolate, cookies - oreo - e chantilly. Muito interessante! 

Recomendo a quem quiser refeições leves, baratas e com muita variedade!"

Memmo Alfama

"Céu claro, temperatura amena... é tarde para mais um terrace! Chegando ao Chiado e fazendo umas comprinhas, já apetecia um drink bem fresquinho! Tomámos o 28, e rumo até ao Limoeiro. Descemos um metro e avistou-se, em letras pintadas num muro branco, "Memmo Alfama". Seguimos a direção da seta grafitada e no fundo da Travessa Merceeiras, avistámos o hotel design. Uma entrada simples, mas tão convidativa. Um ambiente clean, puro e com um toque de fada!

Logo à entrada, fomos mergulhadas numa simpatia abundante, um sorriso largo confirmou-nos, na receção do hotel, se o terraço estava com disponibilidade e anunciou duas pessoas. Acompanhou-nos às escadas e... wow... a vista incrível para o Tejo e para toda Alfama e arredores! Um terraço perfeitamente equilibrado, com três níveis para se estar, uma piscina decorativa, e abrigada contra o vento. Uma sensação de bem-estar e sossego foi tão sentida. 

E para relaxar ainda mais, dois rosés vieram geladinhos para a mesa (Mateus espumante rosé - €5 - e Mateus aragonês - €4) ao som de uma música agradável.

Um sítio perfeito para se refugiar do stress da cidade e se mergulhar (talvez literalmente num dia mais quente) numa onda de relax.

I love window-shopping and see the new trends stores showcase, and today I've been through some and loved to look at the suede section. So, to also mess around a little with this new site I found out, POLYVORE, that creates amazing collages (well this one is not so great, but to start off it does the job right), I put up together some of the best suede items at Zara (and one of Stradivarius). And to compliment them and not overwear the suede - in spite of its awesomeness -, I threw in some cute lace items!

If you have been following me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I eat a lot of soy products, and Alpro is by far my favorite brand. As for taste, texture and benefits, for me, is the best. And now they have been expanding their product's line to yogurts and other drinks, so I just want to try them all! 

DEJÀ LU | book lovers, BEWARE!

With the rebirth of Cidadela in Cascais, the opening of a charity bookstore gives also a new life to books already read. Originated from the blog DEJÀ LU, the bookstore with the same name was inaugurated this February with the financial support of Pousadas de Cascais.

It all started when Francisca Prieto, the blog's author, started to auction used books and donate the money to the Portuguese Association of Down Syndrome, since this was a very dear cause to her.
