Luxury and Art are intrinsically connected. From the first time man started creating art, in Egypt, the artist had already a sense of esthetics, attention to detail and a basic knowledge of Pantone's color palette (maybe...). Here in the Louvre, we got to see this evolution of art going from these Egyptian paintings, Roman and Greek statues, church paintings and, at last , the most known painters of that time.
O Luxo e a Arte estão intrinsicamente ligados. Desde a primeira vez que o Homem começou a criar arte, no Egipto, o artista já tinha um sentido de estética, uma atenção ao detalhe e um conhecimento básico da palete de cores de Pantone (talvez...). Aqui no Louvre pudemos ver a evolução desta arte, desde as tais pinturas egípcias, às estátuas romanas e gregas, às pinturas de igreja e, por fim, aos quadros dos pintores mais famosos da altura.

Sorry to ruin your expectations, but yes, Mona Lisa's paintings is rather small.
Desculpem desiludir-vos, mas, na verdade, o quadro da Mona Lisa é deste tamanho.

And of course, after rambling around the Louvre for 3 hours, it was time to try the most DELICIOUS éclair ever!! When you step out of the Louvre, go underneath it, inside the Caroussel, and among many little shops of food and clothing, you'll see, right in front, a little counter with these heavenly choux pastries topped with everything you could imagine. This was the very best: pistachio mousse, with strawberries and leaves of basil. HEAVEN!
E claro, a seguir a ter andando pelo Louvre durante 3 horas, estava na hora de experimentar o mais DELICIOSO éclair de sempre!! Quando se sai do Louvre, e se desce para o Caroussel, vais encontrar, entre inúmeras lojinhas de comida ou de roupa, um balcão com estes docinhos de massa choux cobertos com tudo o que se possa imaginar. Este foi o melhor: com mousse de pistachio, morangos e folhas de manjericão. Do melhor!
